The venue for retreat is Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort, Caloundra, intentionally chosen to be away from hustle and bustle of the city (about a 90 minute drive from Brisbane CBD) to provide the attendees time and space to immerse in deep learning, a true retreat.
Oaks Caloundra feature sweeping lush tropical grounds, resort-style pool, putt-putt golf course and many more facilities for the participants. The beach is just a short stroll from the venue.
How to get there
We will provide a bus to transport the attendees to the venue on Friday 20th October and back from the venue on Sunday 22nd October.
The pickup point at the Brisbane Domestic Airport is Bus Pickup Area A1. The bus will arrive approximately at 11:45am and will depart at 12:00pm sharp. The amount of time the bus can be parked can not be extended so make sure you reach there around 11:45am for timely on-boarding and departure at 12:00pm sharp. Nafees Butt, one of the co-organisers, will accompany you on the bus, if you choose to join.
At the end of the retreat, the bus will leave Oaks Caloundra at 1:30pm. Please make sure you join the #bus-travellers channel on slack to stay up-to-date and any last minute coordination.
If you want to drive to the venue, the address is “2 Landsborough Parade, Caloundra QLD 4551”. Plan your trip to be there by Friday 1:30pm (for a prompt 2:00 pm start) so that you don’t miss out on important activities in the afternoon.
Parking on-site is available free of charge.
